Strengthening Our Commitment to Accessible Learning
We’ve recently completed an initiative to align our platform with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standards, ensuring a seamless experience for learners of all ability levels.
Key Accessibility Enhancements
- Visual and auditory clarity: We’ve implemented high-contrast text, image alternatives, and full transcripts for audio content to support diverse sensory needs.
- Seamless navigation: Our pages are now optimized for screen readers and efficient keyboard-only navigation, allowing learners to move through the platform without a mouse.
- Reworked GlobeSmart® Profile comparisons: We completely rebuilt the GlobeSmart Profile Compare Profiles page to ensure the interface is functional and intuitive for assistive technologies.
- AI-Assisted audio descriptions: We are introducing synthesized voice descriptions for on-screen actions in our English-language videos to support learners with visual impairments.
By embedding these standards into our foundational design, we ensure that the tools used to bridge cultural gaps are free of barriers for every learner. As we continue to improve the Aperian platform, we remain committed to building inclusive design into every new feature, and we look forward to keeping you updated on future enhancements.
Now in Vietnamese: Fostering Psychological Safety
We are excited to announce that our Fostering Psychological Safety learning module is now available in Vietnamese. This addition joins our existing translations in Chinese (Simplified), French, German, Italian, and Japanese.
