How does the rebrand impact my learning experience?

While there’s a lot that goes into rebranding, essentially - we’ve combined our corporate brand (Aperian Global, more often associated with our training programs) and our learning platform (GlobeSmart) into one unified brand with a new visual identity.

So, while the functionality and content of our elearning/learning platform and facilitated learning programs remain the same, they will have a new look and feel.

Our rebrand won’t affect the core principles of our work. And, our commitment to providing exceptional service to our end users remains our priority.

Is the name "GlobeSmart" going away?

No! You'll continue to see us reference GlobeSmart within the tool when talking about (1) The GlobeSmart Profile and (2) the GlobeSmart Guides - formerly Culture Guides. The platform as a whole that houses the GlobeSmart Profile, GlobeSmart Guides, along with our other products is what is changing from GlobeSmart to Aperian.

Do I need to register again on the new Aperian platform?

No, you will continue to use your same credentials to log in. Additionally, existing SSO (Single Sign On) links will continue to provide access to the platform. 

Do I need to go to a new URL to log in?

If you log into Aperian using your email address, the new URL is Though it's good practice to update your bookmarks, if you have our old URL bookmarked, we will have a redirect in place. If your company uses SSO (Single Sign On) to access the platform, there will be no change at all.

Will I need to retake the GlobeSmart Profile survey?

No. All individual user information including individual GlobeSmart Profiles, Profile histories, individual and team comparison connections, IBI assessment reports, and learning module completion and progress information has been retained.

Are there any changes to the functionality of the platform with the rebrand?

The functionality and features within the Aperian platform remain the same, they just have a new look!

Will the various newsletters be streamlined / re-titled?

We will continue to send two monthly communications:

  1. Bridging Boundaries: our monthly newsletter with DEI and culture insights for growing inclusion
  2. Aperian Product Update (formerly GlobeSmart Product Update): our monthly newsletter announcing new features and enhancements within the Aperian platform

You must subscribe separately to each newsletter. You can subscribe to Bridging Boundaries here, and platform users can subscribe to receive product updates through your Account Settings within the platform.

Are you making any accessibility improvements alongside the rebrand?

Yes. Our new brand colors have been tested against Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for optimal legibility across a variety of backgrounds. All typographic and background color combinations pass WCAG 2.0 AAA and AA international standards.

We are also partnering with an external vendor to run an audit on Aperian accessibility. Our goal is to achieve the WCAG AA 2.1 standards. We are currently working on improvements within the platform, and aim to have them complete by the end of 2023.
